私の祖母のニットを工場に持ち込み企画提案をしたことが「onaji anano mujina」の始まりでした。
靴下に手編みに遜色ないケーブル編みの複雑な立体を落とし込む事ができる。それはホールガーメントⓇならではの技術。幾度と改良を重ねて苦労の末に仕上がった、風合いは手編み同然の仕上がり。職人の技術と知恵が渾身の1足を編み上げました。履いた皆々様が「洋服？」と錯覚するような１足になりました。

 一括りにケーブル編みと表記しておりますが、古来よりケーブル編みには歴史と家族・故郷への思い。そして漁師たちの豊漁への祈りを込めた独自の編みが存在しており私たちはその中でも「ガンジー編み」という編み柄を採用しています。編みの特徴には厳しい冬を乗り越える防寒着としての高い保温性があり毛（ウール）が用いられることが多いのが一般的です。しかし、このDollyは毛を使わず、綿糸を使っています。過度な防寒性よりもタウンユースで着用性と耐久性を優先しました。私たちは綿の通気性と耐久性も評価しています。秋から冬、そして春へと。長い期間をこの靴下とお過ごしいただきたいそんな願いです。

その季節折々のファッションシーンにてきっと活躍すると思います。

The origin of "onaji anano mujina" was a product proposal I brought to a factory, inspired by my grandmother's knitwear.

It's possible to create the complex, three-dimensional cable knit texture of a hand-knitted item in a sock. This is a feat of WHOLEGARMENTⓇ technology. After numerous improvements and much effort, the result is a texture that feels just like a hand-knitted piece. It's a testament to the skill and wisdom of our craftspeople, who poured their hearts into knitting this single pair. They've created a sock that makes everyone who wears it wonder, "Is this clothing?"

While we refer to it as "cable knit" as a whole, historically, cable patterns have a rich history. They represent family, a sense of home, and fishermen's prayers for a bountiful catch. We've specifically adopted the Guernsey knit pattern. This style is typically known for its high insulation, using wool to brave harsh winters. However, for our Dolly socks, we've used cotton yarn instead of wool. We prioritized wearability and durability for town use over excessive warmth. We also value the breathability and durability of cotton. We hope you can enjoy these socks for a long period, from autumn through winter and into spring.
